ReNu MultiPlus (120 ml), contact lens solution with case

Bausch & Lomb ReNu MultiPlus® lubricating and rewetting drops are a sterile, preserved solution recommended for the effective lubrication and rewetting of soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses to make wearing lenses more comfortable.

Usage: While wearing contact lenses, if necessary, apply 2 or 3 drops to your contact lens. Blink several times afterward. If you still do not feel comfortable with the contact lens, add another drop. If the discomfort persists, IMMEDIATELY remove the lens and contact your eye care professional.

Ingredients: Sterile, isotonic solution containing povidone, boric acid, potassium chloride, sodium borate, and sodium chloride; preserved with 0.1% disodium EDTA and 0.1% sorbic acid.

Description: Bausch & Lomb ReNu MultiPlus lubricating and rewetting drops are ideal for daily wear or prolonged lens wear, as well as for rewetting disposable lenses or lenses prescribed for frequent replacement. If you wear extended wear lenses, this solution can be used to rewet lenses after sleep.

INDICATIONS (uses): Bausch & Lomb ReNu MultiPlus lubricating and rewetting drops are used for the lubrication and rewetting of soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses during wear. The product can be used with daily or extended wear lenses, as well as disposable lenses or lenses prescribed for frequent replacement.

CONTRAINDICATIONS (reasons not to use): IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO ANY INGREDIENT, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT.

PRECAUTIONS:

  • Problems with contact lenses and lens care products could result in serious eye injury.
  • It is essential to follow your eye care professional's instructions and all labeling instructions for proper use and care of lenses and lens care products, including the lens case.
  • Eye problems, including corneal ulcers, can develop rapidly and lead to vision loss.
  • Daily wear lenses should not be worn while sleeping. Clinical studies have shown that the risk of serious side effects increases if these lenses are worn overnight.
  • Extended wear lenses should be removed regularly for cleaning and disinfection, or disposal and replacement according to your eye care professional's schedule.
  • Clinical studies have shown that extended wear contact lens users have a higher incidence of serious side effects than daily wear contact lens users.
  • Studies have also shown that the risk of serious side effects increases the longer lenses are worn before removal for cleaning and disinfection, or disposal and replacement.
  • Studies have also shown that smokers have a higher incidence of adverse effects.
  • If you experience eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, or redness of the eye, remove the lens immediately and contact your eye care professional right away.
  • It is recommended that contact lens wearers see their eye care professional twice a year, or more often if directed.
  • To avoid contamination of the solution or lenses:
  • Do not touch the tip of the container to any surface.
  • Replace the cap after use.
  • Do not transfer this solution to other bottles or containers.
  • Do not use with heat (thermal) disinfection.

WARNINGS:

  • Always replace the cap on the bottle after use.
  • Store the solution at room temperature.
  • Use before the expiration date marked on the box and bottle.
  • Use within 90 days of opening the solution.
  • Do not use the solution if the safety seal on the bottle neck is damaged or missing!
  • Keep out of reach of children.

ADVERSE REACTIONS (problems and actions):

The following problems may occur: eyes stinging, burning, or itching (irritation), less comfort than when the lens was first placed on the eye, a feeling of something in the eye (foreign body, scratched area), excessive watering (tearing) of the eye, unusual eye secretion, redness of the eye, reduced sharpness of vision (poor visual acuity), blurred vision, rainbows or halos around objects, sensitivity to light (photophobia) or dry eyes. If you notice any of the above: Remove the lens immediately. If the discomfort or problem stops, look closely at the lens. If the lens is damaged in any way, DO NOT put the lens back on your eye. Place the lens in the storage case and contact your eye care professional. If the lens has dirt, an eyelash, or other foreign body on it, or if the problem stops and the lens appears undamaged, thoroughly clean, rinse, and disinfect the lens, then reinsert it. If the problem persists, remove the lens immediately and consult your eye care professional.

If any of the above symptoms occur, a serious condition such as an infection, corneal ulcer, neovascularization, or iritis may be present. To avoid serious eye damage, seek professional identification of the problem and prompt treatment.

Good lens care practices

Always wash and rinse your hands before handling lenses. Clean, rinse, and disinfect lenses with each removal. To avoid mixing up lenses, always use the same lens first, either right or left. After use, always empty and rinse the lens case with fresh rinsing solution and allow it to air dry. When wearing disposable lenses, discard and replace with a new lens after each removal.
